چکیده

Abstract. In this study we consider a mathematical model of an SIR epidemic model with a saturated incidence rate. We used the optimal vaccination strategies to minimize the susceptible and infected individuals and to maximize the number of recovered individuals. We work in the nonlinear optimal control framework. The existence result was discussed. A characterization of the optimal control via adjoint variables was established. We obtained an optimality system that we sought to solve numerically by a competitive Gauss–Seidel like implicit difference method.

Stability and Bifurcation of an SIS Epidemic Model with Saturated Incidence Rate and Treatment Function

In this paper an SIS epidemic model with saturated incidence rate and treatment func- tion is proposed and studied. The existence of all feasible equilibrium points is discussed. The local stability conditions of the disease free equilibrium point and endemic equilibrium point are established with the help of basic reproduction number. However the global stabili- ty conditions of these eq...

Stability Analysis and Optimal Vaccination Strategies for an SIR Epidemic Model with a Nonlinear Incidence Rate

An SIR epidemic model with saturated incidence rate and a vaccination program is formulated, where the susceptibles are assumed to satisfy the logistic equation. The incidence term is of saturated form with the infected individuals. First, we have discussed the existence and the stability of both the disease free and endemic equilibrium. Second, the impact of vaccination in reducing R(u) is tac...

Dynamics of a Delayed Epidemic Model with Beddington-DeAngelis ‎Incidence Rate and a Constant Infectious Period

In this paper, an SIR epidemic model with an infectious period and a non-linear Beddington-DeAngelis type incidence rate function is considered. The dynamics of this model depend on the reproduction number R0. Accurately, if R0 < 1, we show the global asymptotic stability of the disease-free equilibrium by analyzing the corresponding characteristic equation and using compa...

Mathematical Model for Transmission Dynamics of Hepatitus C Virus with Optimal Control Strategies

An epidemic model with optimal control strategies was investigated for Hepatitus C Viral disease that can be transmitted through infected individuals. In this study, we used a deterministic compartmental model for assessing the effect of different optimal control strategies for controlling the spread of Hepatitus C disease in the community. Stability theory of differential equations is us...

Optimal Control of an SIR Epidemic Model with a Saturated Treatment

In this paper, we formulate an optimal control problem for an SIR epidemic model with saturated incidence and saturated treatment. Two main efforts, namely treatment and vaccination are considered to limit the disease transmission. The impacts of vaccination and treatment on the disease transmission are discussed through the basic reproduction number. Then to achieve control of the disease, a c...
